10 months

It seems like the weeks are going by faster and faster. Caden is 10 months old?? Where has the time gone and when did my sweet little baby start turning into an independent little boy?

 When I was rocking Caden last night and watching him sleep I realized just how much he does look like a little boy and not a baby anymore. It makes me sad but also so happy at the same time.

I am almost a week late on this post but we have had a busy week. Caden turned 10 months old on Monday and he had surgery for tubes in his ears and to get the frenulum under his tongue clipped. After a minor melt down coming out of anesthesia he recovered so well and seems to be feeling much better! And it is amazing how much more he is talking now!! He has been my little chatterbox the past few days!

I tried taking some cute pictures this month but I had a little trouble keeping him still for longer then 1.4 seconds! And getting him to look at me and smile was impossible!! I love my active little guy though!

Caden Andrew, at 10 months you are:

Size 4 diapers

Side 4-5 shoes

Wearing 12-18 month clothes depending on the brand

Crawling everywhere & very fast!!

Standing up for long periods of time. I have a feeling you could take off running any way now.

Get so excited when mommy or daddy walk in the door after being gone for awhile.

Give a funny little fake smile when you're eating. It's the cutest thing

Take 2 naps a day. 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours late afternoon

Normally go to bed around 8:30 but have been getting up earlier lately, around 7

Were sleeping through the night but we have had some set backs this week. Mommy is hoping this is only temporary

Finally off all medications (antibiotics & reflux medicine) We are THRILLED!

Eating 3 solid meals a day- your favorites are corn casserole, lasagna, strawberry, apples, & bananas, & strawberry banana yogurt

Nurse 3 times a day and when you take a bottle you are drinking 6oz

Love your sippy cup

Have 7 teeth 

Not so sure about strangers if they try to reach out and touch you or your hands. You jerk away pretty quickly

You follow me around the house wherever I go. You like being right at my feet

Love for me to carry you and hold you. Although, you are starting to get really heavy

You are the greatest gift I have ever received

Caden Andrew, I am so thankful to call you mine. I fall more in love with you and you sweet disposition every single day. Your sweet smile in the morning is the best way to start my day and I am lucky enough to have that every single day.  I thank God every night for giving you to me. I love watching you grow and learn. You are more curious by the day. I love to watch you climb and do more adventurous things daily. I pray you continue to thrive and continue to be so sweet to everyone around you. Each day is a blessing and sweeter and sweeter with you in my life. I love you.

This post may be extremely random but I have actually been taking lots of pictures lately. I just have not had much time to get on-line and update my blog.

Over Easter weekend Caden got to see all of his favorite people.


He got to play with his cousins toys. (Don't tell Matt that he played with Barbies!!) Although, biting their heads were his favorite part!


Nana and Pop loved on him, as usual!

Caden has also started doing some new things and becoming very curious. When he gets a bottle he wants to feed himself. He doesn't need help from mom anymore!

He has also started looking in every cabinet and drawer. I will be buying cabinet latches VERY soon to keep him out of certain stuff. But for the most part I will let him get into things and make a mess!

He has also been sleeping better the past 2 weeks! Praise God!! But, when he does wake up he will not go back to sleep in his crib, or at least not without a fight! So after Matt left one morning I put him in bed with me until I had to get up and get ready for work. He thinks mom's bed is much more comfortable than his!

I always said my house would never look like a daycare or be a mess. This is what I walked into last night. And I didn't mind one bit! But I can promise that it was completely clean before I went to bed!

First Easter

I'm a few days late but we had such a great Easter weekend with family. The weather was beautiful so I seized the moment and took some pictures of my sweet guy. I couldn't pick a favorite, so I will apologize in advance for all of the pictures I am about to post, I picked out my top 15 :)
My friend Christine put her amazing photography skills in practice to take some family pictures as well.
Daniel and his family came to town so Caden had a blast playing with his cousins and Uncle D & Aunt M. Mandy and I had a blast taking pictures of Caden, although he wasn't always thrilled about it!


I cannot believe we are getting so close to his first birthday. This year has definitely flown by. Caden baby, please sloooooow down and let's enjoy every single moment of every day!

Monday = Daddy's day

I asked Matt to take pictures throughout the day so we would always remember exactly what he and Caden did all day long. I also managed to talk him into putting regular clothes on him instead of staying in pajamas all day! Those 2 make quite the pair and I had so much fun looking through all of the pictures he took!

My 2 favorite guys on their way to visit Nana & Papa!They went to visit Matt's grandparents for about an hour during the afternoon. Papa tells Caden all kinds of fun stories!

Poor Caden is on his 5th round of antibiotics for ear infections and is scheduled for tubes in 2 weeks. Unfortunately, he isn't always the happiest baby and Matt said he was pretty fussy throughout the day but he seems to be having a ball to me!

Caden loves bath time!! He gets so excited when he hears us running his bath water!

His new favorite thing is to fall on his hiney and make a big splash!! With mama or daddy right there close to catch him of course!

Hide and seek with daddy is fun!From the looks of things Caden is doing okay while I am at work! But I sure do miss my sweet man!

Mommy is Mine

Last week I got to keep my friend Christine's sweet baby while she had an errand to run. He is about 8 weeks old and just too cute! When she left I was sitting on the floor holding Buck and Caden turned and looked and decided he was not happy. At all. He crawled over as fast as he could and start pulling on my arm and crying so hard. He had been around baby Buck a few times before and never seemed to mind him, but it is just not cool when mommy holds him.

Finally after a few minutes of crying, I gave Buck to Matt and then Caden was suddenly okay. Not a care in the world, but, he would not leave my side. I will say, I was a little flattered that he is such a mama's boy!! (And in case you are wondering, we never got Caden dressed out of his pajamas that day! He just seemed too comfortable!)

Poor little guy is going to have to learn to start sharing soon! I have a feeling sharing mommy may be the hardest thing though, so another baby will have to wait for awhile!!
